LOCATION
102 North Murray Avenue, Anderson
This is a hybrid, interactive workshop designed to help retailers and small business owners turn their storefront windows into powerful marketing tools. It is inspired by the Dosonwntown Window Display Contest. Additionally, this session brings together retail design experts and local creatives. Together, they explore how window design, visual storytelling, art, and landscaping work to attract attention. These elements also communicate brand identity and drive foot traffic.
Led by Suzanne Rafenstein and Julia Killian of Retailworks, Inc., an award-winning retail design and branding firm, the workshop blends expert insights with real-world examples and practical strategies. In addition, a community roundtable featuring local art and horticulture professionals adds a creative, place-based perspective. This roundtable focuses on elevating storefronts through artistic elements and curb appeal.
Featuring Tracy Weiss, Curator at the Anderson Arts Center: Tracy will share insights on incorporating art, creativity, and visual storytelling into storefront displays. She will also discuss how artistic elements can elevate windows and reflect a community’s creative identity.
Featuring Brett Broyles, Horticulturist for the City of Anderson: Brett will discuss landscaping storefront windows, including plant selection and seasonal considerations. He will explain how greenery can enhance curb appeal and frame window displays.
